Circular Economy Officer- York – North Yorkshire County Council  – Salary fro £22,627 PER ANNUM – Working pattern – Full Time – Closing date – 12 Oct 2020

The overall aim of the Circular Economy Officer role is to lead the implementation of York and North Yorkshire’s Circular Economy Strategy and Action Plan, and in doing so support the integration of low carbon and circular economy principles across the work of LEP teams. This will be achieved through engagement and collaboration, research and analysis, project development, and enabling local organisations to move towards more circular operating models. The role will support the shaping of LEP priorities, the development of interventions, and investment in the circular economy.
Specifically, the role will achieve the following objectives:
1. Develop a robust evidence base for the transition to a circular economy (at project, sector, place & sub-regional levels)
2. Develop a pipeline of shovel-ready circular economy demonstrator projects
3. Build capacity and capabilities across the LEP to deliver the transition to a carbon-negative, circular economy
To apply, you must have good communication, inter-personal and analytical skills, together with an in depth knowledge of the circular economy, economic analysis techniques and business drivers/challenges. Experience analysing data, presenting findings and working collaboratively across a range of organisations will be essential.
